Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Technician I, Prior Authorizations to be the first point of contact for authorization requests from members, providers, and a diverse customer base. The role will decide if a complex request should be transferred to a pharmacist for assistance and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

You will work from home with schedule flexibility, navigate multiple software systems, and support safe and efficient care across our community.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in customer service or call center environment.
• Must be able to work from home.
• Have high speed internet.
• Preferred: Pharmacy or healthcare industry experience.
• Preferred: Pharmacy Technician License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for Prior Authorization requests from members, providers, and a diverse customer base.
• Determine if complex requests should be transferred to a pharmacist for assistance.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of approvals and denials.
• Navigate multiple software systems and manage schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
