Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Care Technician to work from home in Idaho. You will read, interpret and enter prescriptions, calculate doses, and manage insurance payments in a timely manner.

You will route unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and assist with inbound calls, insurance verification, and benefit investigations while maintaining high-quality service. The role requires a self-directed work style and knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role.
• Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
• Active Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including dose calculations and directions.
• Accept proper insurance payment in a timely fashion.
• Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and enter information after clarification.
• Answer customer questions and provide education while processing medication orders and assisting with insurance verifications.
