Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Manager, Pharmacy Business Services to provide leadership across key pharmacy functions and translate enterprise priorities into effective execution.

You will oversee enterprise pharmacy initiatives, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and drive contract lifecycle management and governance activities while leading a team of analysts to deliver value and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 7 years Healthcare Industry experience.
• 3 years Supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Experience overseeing budgets, contracts, vendors, governance processes, and business planning activities.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Execution: Translate enterprise pharmacy strategy into operational plans and lead execution across assigned business units.
• Team Leadership: Foster a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Escalation Management: Resolve complex issues and ensure efficient delivery of pharmacy services across multiple functions.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and lead initiatives to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical, finance, IT, and vendor teams to align pharmacy services with broader enterprise initiatives.
• Audit Readiness: Lead operational readiness for audits and enterprise reviews, ensuring documentation and processes meet quality standards.
• Compliance Management: Ensure pharmacy business activities meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
