Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore seeks a Pharmacy Reimbursement Coordinator II to perform advanced billing and A/R for outpatient pharmacy services, including government payors, international and domestic third-party payors, patients, and Johns Hopkins programs, with a focus on accurate, timely reimbursement and issue resolution.

The role operates on a Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm) with remote work options and onsite support in Baltimore as needed; local applicants only.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in pharmacy and/or medical billing required.
• Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Submit claims accurately and timely.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Resolve billing errors, denials, partial payments, and underpayments.
• Research and correct payor discrepancies.
• Process refunds, credits, adjustments, and write-offs as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation in billing systems.
• Work directly with payors and internal teams to resolve reimbursement issues.
