Job summary

PharMerica seeks a Pharmacist Consultant to support long-term care and senior living facilities from a remote location. You will evaluate orders, optimize regimens, and coordinate with facility staff and physicians to ensure compliant, effective therapy across assigned regions.

The role requires a valid pharmacy license, a Doctorate or PharmD, and experience in acute or long-term care. Weekend work may be needed; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate.
• Current license required; dual license preferred.
• One-year experience in acute, long-term care or home health preferred.
• Consultant or Clinical Pharmacist experience preferred.
• IV clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness and makes recommendations.
• Reviews residents’ drug regimens and reports irregularities with findings and recommendations.
• Documents all communications with physicians, nurses, and residents/families.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy laws and long-term care regulations.
• Works cooperatively as a team member and maintains pharmacotherapy standards.
