Job summary
Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a Remote Pharmacist to provide centralized pharmacist support to multiple locations from a remote setting. You will review prescriptions, perform pharmacist verification, and collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and leadership to ensure safe, accurate operations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced retail pharmacist with strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, able to work independently, and committed to patient safety and regulatory compliance from a remote
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin with active license.
- Experience in retail pharmacy is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmacist support to Hometown locations from a centralized remote setting.
- Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and safety.
- Complete pharmacist verification and prescription processing as appropriate.
- Communicate with pharmacy staff about questions and workflow issues.
- Escalate significant medication-safety concerns to leadership.
- Offer pharmacist consultation to technicians and other staff.
