Job summary

Hw3 Llc is seeking an Automation Engineer for a remote role with up to 50% travel to client facilities across the USA. You will support automation projects in pharmaceutical and biotech environments, from design through validation and operation.

The role covers HMI, PLC/DCS, MES, and OT technologies, with responsibilities spanning documentation, development, commissioning, and lifecycle management. Collaborative multi-team work is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Candidates must hold a green card or US citizenship.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and maintenance of automation documentation, including URS, FRS, DS/DDS, and related documents.
• Translate process requirements into practical automation solutions and participate in design reviews.
• Configure, troubleshoot, modify, and deploy automation software for PLC/DCS environments.
• Assist with integration of process equipment such as bioreactors, chromatography systems, CIP/SIP equipment, and Fill-Finish systems.
• Participate in commissioning and qualification activities, and support FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement.
