Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Remote Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join our team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to handle complex catastrophic injury cases, with a focus on defense strategy and client advocacy.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of personal injury defense experience, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury defense.
• Proven track record of litigating and settling personal injury cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a case from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring a solid defense strategy.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
• Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Act as an advocate for clients in legal proceedings, representing them in trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations before courts, judges, and other authorities.
