Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to complete initial intake and crisis consultation to support perinatal behavioral health coordination. This role reports to the Behavioral Health Lead and is remote within the continental US.

You will conduct risk assessments, collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, care coordinators and therapists, and develop individualized care plans to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an unrestricted multi-state compact license.
• 4+ years experience in hospital/healthcare, serving maternal-child health.
• Experience or training in psychiatric nursing, perinatal mental health or related field.
• Experience working with pregnant/postpartum individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient risk assessments and triage based on urgency and severity of mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, APPs, nurses, care coordinators and therapists.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families about perinatal mental health treatments.
• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Advocate for patients’ rights, ensuring autonomy and dignity.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training on perinatal mental health best practices.
