Job summary

Pomelo Care is a leading virtual medical practice for women and children, delivering 24/7 clinical care across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. This role completes the initial intake and crisis consultation to support coordination of perinatal behavioral health, reporting to the Behavioral Health Lead from locations across the continental US.

Qualifications

• RN with an unrestricted multi-state compact license.
• 4+ years of hospital/healthcare experience serving maternal-child health populations.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or perinatal mental health.
• Experience with pregnant and postpartum individuals and their families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient risk assessments and triage by urgency.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, care coordinators, and therapists.
• Develop and implement individualized maternal-child care plans.
• Provide psychoeducation on perinatal mental health options.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Advocate for patient autonomy and dignity.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
