Job summary

The City of Seattle is seeking a PeopleSoft Functional Analyst to support an Accounts Payable (AP) Automation project. This remote USA contract role requires 3+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft functional experience and deep knowledge of AP, Purchasing/PO, and GL.

Responsibilities include translating business needs into functional solutions, data mapping, testing, and collaboration with QA and technical teams to ensure successful integration and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft functional experience.
• Strong experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials.
• Good functional knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP).
• Strong understanding of Purchasing/PO and General Ledger (GL).
• Experience with data mapping and data-flow analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting functional and integration issues.
• Experience supporting functional testing and defect resolution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand existing system configurations and business processes quickly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials, primarily across AP, Purchasing/PO, and GL.
• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Perform data mapping and review data flows between PeopleSoft and integrated applications.
• Support AP automation and invoice processing workflows.
• Investigate and troubleshoot functional and integration-related issues.
• Analyze existing PeopleSoft configurations and business processes.
• Work with business users and stakeholders to understand issues and validate solutions.
• Support functional testing, defect analysis, and resolution.
• Collaborate with QA and technical teams during testing and integration activities.
• Participate in issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
• Support business process improvements and project deliverables.
• Document functional requirements, mappings, processes, test scenarios, and issue resolutions as needed.
