Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in health insurance underwriting or related analytical roles.
• Strong attention to detail with data accuracy.
• Proficiency with large datasets and spreadsheet analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for brokers and stakeholders.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; quick to learn new platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize underwriting requests across new business, renewals, and census updates.
• Review submissions for completeness including census data, invoices, plan designs, and eligibility rules.
• Assess case complexity and set underwriting timelines based on SLAs.
• Audit census data for missing fields and inconsistencies.
• Validate prior carrier documentation and renewal methodologies.
• Analyze claims experience, loss ratios, credibility, and trend factors to support pricing.
• Develop pricing recommendations aligned with profitability targets.
• Collaborate with brokers, sales, Compliance, BenOps, and Payroll teams to prevent delays.
