Job summary

Niural Inc. is seeking a PEO Underwriter to evaluate, price, and manage risk for new and renewing groups within a co-employment model.

You will own cases end-to-end, analyze claims trends, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure profitability, regulatory adherence, and accurate data processing. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in health insurance underwriting or related analytical roles, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in health insurance underwriting, benefits administration, actuarial support, or related analytical roles.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Proficiency working with large datasets and census files.
• Clear written and verbal communication; translate underwriting concepts for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize underwriting requests across new business, renewals, and changes.
• Review census files, invoices, plan designs, and eligibility rules.
• Audit data for missing fields and inconsistencies.
• Analyze claims experience and trends to support pricing decisions.
• Prepare underwriting summaries for internal stakeholders and carrier partners.
• Collaborate with Brokers, Sales, Compliance, BenOps, and Payroll teams.
• Maintain organized underwriting files and ensure PHI/data security.
