Job summary

RI International is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery-focused support and advocacy at the Crisis Care Center in Franklin County, OH. The role involves teaching recovery tools, guiding individuals toward their goals, and coordinating with the clinical team to arrange services.

You will work a rotating day schedule in a full-time, non-exempt capacity, earning $19.00 per hour with benefits and ongoing training opportunities to advance in the behavioral health field.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services.
• Basic computer skills and ability to teach recovery information.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and engage individuals in recovery partnerships.
• Teach recovery and life skills using recovery tools.
• Demonstrate hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy for recovery goals.
• Help develop natural supports and community living.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to arrange services or resources.
