Job summary

APA in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Peer Review Coordinator to manage the peer review process ensuring high-quality editorial workflows. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related fields along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in scholarly publications.
  • Knowledge of the editorial and peer review process.
  • Experience in a high-profile, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a timely, ethical editorial workflow for the assigned portfolio.
  • Communicates with editors, authors, and reviewers regarding the peer review process.
  • Manages manuscript submission process from initial submission to production.
  • Provides extensive technical support for Editorial Manager.
  • Prepares reports on editorial statistics for editors and staff.
  • Designs departmental process improvements and conducts training sessions.
  • Works with Production Editors to develop journal-wide solutions.
