Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced RN for after-hours triage and nursing assessments. This remote, part-time role supports pediatric patients via triage guidelines, collaborating with physicians and staff to determine appropriate care plans.

Shift options include evenings and weekends, with cross-coverage and holiday rotation. RN license and pediatric experience required; BJC Total Rewards benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of nursing experience in Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, pediatric primary care or pediatric General Medicine.
• RN license required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation per nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care and medications.
• Promote patient safety and regulatory compliance; participate in professional development.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans with the care team and family.
• Demonstrate critical nursing skills and support safe, compassionate care.
