Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is a health care leader delivering a connected system of care in eastern Massachusetts. The Registered Nurse will provide remote care within a pediatric specialty, following the nursing process to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, perform triage, coordinate care, and document in the EMR. MA RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred and EMR experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted MA nursing license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Computer experience with word processing and spreadsheets.
• EMR experience and/or aptitude to master EMR.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families; provide education and manage care transitions.
• Deliver patient care per RN protocols, including medications and chronic disease management.
• Conduct telephone triage and support clinical team with care coordination.
• Perform clinical procedures and document in EMR during visits.
• Contribute to quality improvement and mentor nursing staff.
