Job summary

Clarivate Analytics US LLC is seeking a Patent Analyst to conduct comprehensive patent searches and provide opinions on patentability. This position offers flexible work hours as an independent contractor and requires strong technical knowledge in fields like Computing, Electronic Engineering, or Physics.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience with patents, as well as the ability to pass a USPTO Background check. Knowledge of patent databases such as Orbit and PatBase is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field.
• 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research.
• Must pass USPTO Background check.
• U.S. citizen or work-eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Accept projects with defined due date based on availability.
• Perform comprehensive search for relevant prior art.
• Prepare written opinion on patentability.
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases.
• Ensure compliance with Clarivate's Code of Business Ethics.
