Job summary

OK Media Marketing, based in the U.S., is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and support our payroll and administrative operations. You will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records.

This role requires strong numerical accuracy, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Collaboration with HR and Finance is expected for payroll-related inquiries, taxes, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, or related administrative roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures, wage calculations, deductions, and employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process employee payroll accurately and per pay schedules.
• Review timesheets, attendance, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Maintain payroll records and compensation information.
• Verify data and resolve discrepancies before payments.
• Assist with payroll tax docs, deductions, and regulatory reporting.
• Respond to payslip inquiries and payroll questions from employees.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance to keep records current.
• Prepare payroll summaries and management reports.
• Protect confidentiality of employee information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll procedures and records.
