Job summary

Progressive Leasing, a leading provider of lease-to-own solutions, seeks a Payroll and People Operations Specialist. Remote within the United States with time-zone preference for Mountain/ Central time zones.

You will drive payroll execution across the PROG Holdings family, partner with HR on changes, and continuously improve payroll processes using AI tools to boost accuracy and speed. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure timely, compliant payroll, W-2 processing, ACA

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands‑on payroll processing experience, ideally in a multi‑state environment.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule in Workday, including regular cycles and off-cycle runs.
• Reconcile payroll data prior to each processing cycle and resolve discrepancies.
• Audit payroll results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor stock/equity transaction settlement dates and ensure timely tax deposits.
• Maintain payroll records per federal, state, and local requirements.
• Support year-end activities such as W-2 processing and ACA reporting.
• Partner with HR on compensation changes and new hire setup.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
