Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. is seeking a Technical Product Owner for the payments team on a remote U.S. contract basis.

You will own backlog clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery decisions for services in tender, authorization, capture, and settlement flows across digital orders, including government benefits and digital wallets. You will collaborate with engineers and architects, translating business requirements into actionable stories and testable criteria.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Technical Product Owner on a software delivery team using Agile/SAFe.
• Clear, testable acceptance criteria and properly sized stories.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and system integrations with engineers.
• Owned backlog for a service with real production usage.
• Strong written and verbal communication with engineering and compliance stakeholders.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and compliance needs into features, stories, and testable acceptance criteria for payment and tender flows.
• Own backlog order, readiness, and priority calls to keep delivery moving.
• Build understanding of payment pipeline to inform tradeoffs with engineering.
• Partner with engineers and architects on discovery without dictating implementation.
• Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and test across tender types.
• Own release readiness for payment changes including shipping, monitoring, rollback, and go-live communication.
• Support production issue triage with engineering.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies.
