Job summary

Whatnot seeks an experienced Product Manager, Payments to lead the strategy and execution of the core payments platform powering its marketplace. You will own how buyers pay, how sellers get paid, and how money moves across the ecosystem, processing billions in GMV across 50+ categories and enabling payouts globally.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Finance, Trust & Safety, Legal, CX, and Operations to deliver scalable capabilities while maintaining strong financial controls and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience with significant focus on payments products and platforms.
• Proven experience owning high-volume, mission-critical payments systems at marketplace/fintech companies.
• Strong product leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional influence.
• Deep understanding of financial data, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with sound decision-making.
• Proven use of data and experimentation to inform product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for Payments.
• Define and own core payments metrics and monitor impact.
• Drive execution across backend payments, integrations, and frontend UX.
• Build the financial data foundation and month-end closes.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Trust & Safety, CX, and Operations to ensure compliance and scale.
• Establish metrics and experimentation frameworks for ongoing improvement.
