Job summary

Zotec Partners in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking a Payment Processing Specialist to join our remote team. You will process incoming payments from insurance carriers and resolve payment issues, communicating with Banks, Clients, Attorneys and Patients.

The role requires excellent verbal and written communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient payments or billing in a healthcare or insurance context.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with Banks, clients, attorneys and patients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing incoming payments from insurance carriers.
• Sorting daily incoming mail and processing to appropriate lockboxes.
• Calling insurance carriers to verify if checks are cashed and requesting reissues if not.
• Perform other special projects as assigned.
• Familiar with bank processes, such as non-sufficient funds; international checks is a plus.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work independently on multiple projects.
