Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a senior Cost Recovery and Containment Analyst to oversee and monitor both internal and external initiatives, aligning with targeted metrics and forecasted savings.

You will partner with health plans and national vendors to identify cost-saving opportunities, develop annual budgets, evaluate processes, and present trends to senior management. The role emphasizes collaboration, compliance, and continuous improvement across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• 6+ years of data analysis, finance or accounting experience.
• Experience with government programs auditing and compliance monitoring preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overssee and monitor internal and external cost recovery and cost containment initiatives.
• Manage internal and external vendors cost avoidance and cost recovery initiatives.
• Partner with health plans to identify and contain cost with national vendors.
• Develop annual budget and targets for national vendors.
• Evaluate and streamline processes to reduce costs.
• Present trends and cost containment opportunities to senior management.
• Assist health plans in understanding cost recovery rules and processes.
• Monitor other departments’ performance for cost recovery potential.
• Compile and present reporting packages for Senior Management.
• Perform other duties and comply with policies.
