Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a senior cost recovery and finance professional to oversee cost containment initiatives and drive savings across health plan programs. The role partners with national vendors and health plans to optimize cost recovery and compliance, with emphasis on budgeting and leadership reporting.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data analysis, finance or accounting, plus experience with government auditing programs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data analysis, finance or accounting experience.
• Experience with government programs auditing, and compliance monitoring programs preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the performance of cost recovery and cost containment initiatives against targets and forecasted goals.
• Manage internal and external vendors cost avoidance and cost recovery initiatives.
• Partner with health plans to identify and contain cost with national vendors for each category.
• Develop annual budget and targets for each national vendor and assist in achieving savings.
• Present trends and opportunities, recommend action plans and assist with implementation.
• Assist health plans in understanding rules around cost recovery.
• Monitor other departments' performance and evaluate cost recovery potential.
• Compile and present reporting packages for Senior Management on cost avoidance and recovery initiatives.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
