Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a Payables Accountant for a remote role allowing residence in Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah. The role processes invoices, EFTs, and other payments while ensuring correct general ledger coding and strong internal controls.

You will research payment inquiries, set up EFTs, balance payments, audit transactions for accuracy, and apply best practices to all payables activities. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Intermediate Excel, Word, email and calendar usage.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, reviews and processes invoices, statements, voucher checks and other payments.
• Researches payment inquiries from vendors, providers, members and partners.
• Establishes EFT set-ups and bank-relationship changes for providers.
• Balances and records payments to subscribers, providers, hospitals, and vendors.
• Audits payments for accuracy before release.
• Maintains check control logs and balancing information.
• Applies payables best practices to EFT requests and approvals.
• Researches and responds to discrepancies in Payables sub-ledger.
