OSF HealthCare seeks a Patient Financial Navigator to help patients understand their financial responsibilities, options, and billing processes. This role focuses on accurate medical records, payer authorizations, and clear communication with patients, payors, and care teams to resolve billing questions.

Remote-friendly IL position requiring occasional in-person training in Peoria; travel to the office as needed, with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and computer skills to navigate

Qualificações

• Associate's Degree and one year of customer service/relations experience; or
• High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in a call center, healthcare, and/or public health setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure patient records are complete and accurate including demographics, insurance, and registration.
• Educate patients on estimated out-of-pocket costs and payment options.
• Determine payer sources and assist with authorizations, referrals, or pre-determinations as needed.
• Communicate clearly with peers, payors, physicians, patients, and other departments.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs, grants, and billing questions as needed.
