Sarnova is hiring a Patient Collections Research Specialist to gather and verify patient demographics for EMS claims and enter data into patient files. The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and meeting tight deadlines.

You will work with multiple internal teams, healthcare providers, and insurers to resolve discrepancies and ensure complete documentation while maintaining high productivity in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, gather, and update patient demographic and supporting information required for EMS claim resolution and payment.
• Develop knowledge of internal workflows to understand how each function contributes to claim outcomes.
• Collaborate with billing, collections, and quality to resolve discrepancies and missing information.
• Communicate with hospitals, insurance carriers, attorneys, and patients to obtain or verify required documentation.
• Research hospital systems, payer portals, and databases to locate and validate patient information.
• Document findings in patient accounts, ensuring records are complete, up-to-date and HIPAA compliant.
