Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies is seeking a Patient and Community Liaison to engage with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) communities. This remote role requires travel up to 70% and is based in the Central US region, with no relocation offered.

You will educate patients and caregivers on disease, treatment expectations, and branded education materials, while building relationships with advocacy groups and contributing to program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in patient education, pharmaceutical, or healthcare support roles.
• Willingness to travel 70% (weekends may be required).
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present to live audiences.
• Experience with regulatory/compliance guidelines in healthcare/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, empathetic information about disease progression, symptoms, and unmet needs to patients and caregivers.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment expectations and therapeutic options.
• Build relationships with local advocacy chapter leads and attend events nationwide.
• Provide insights to cross-functional teams to improve educational materials and resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and document interactions for outcomes tracking.
