Hey Jane is hiring a detail-oriented Patient Care Advocate to support our telehealth abortion care program. This remote, California-only role focuses on patient questions, care coordination, and accurate documentation while upholding HIPAA standards. Shift: 11:00am–7:00pm PT, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Comp: $30–$33/hr with weekend differential. Prior healthcare experience and comfort with remote work are required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare background with 1+ years in abortion care.
• Comfort in both in-clinic and remote environments.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to triage and make sound real-time decisions.
• Empathetic guidance to patients under stress.
• Proficient with online tools and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient questions about treatment, logistics, and next steps.
• Troubleshoot shipping, refunds, scheduling, and care coordination.
• Track patients through care journey and ensure timely follow-up.
• Check and document insurance eligibility.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation, HIPAA compliant.
• Balance multiple priorities and communicate with teammates.
