Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Remote Billing Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and manage hospital and physician back-end revenue cycle processes. You will identify payment details, post adjustments, and work toward timely account resolution.

Responsibilities include researching claim cycles, coordinating benefits, understanding EOBs, and communicating clearly in writing and by phone. A high school diploma and at least one year in healthcare billing are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• One (1) year of experience in hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle (Payment Posting, Billing, Follow-Up, Collections) required.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Identify payment details and save backup as appropriate.
• Researches, validates and makes adjustments to payment postings; follow-up to resolve accounts.
• Initiates payer recoupments, payer refunds, and patient refunds per procedures.
• Navigate payer claim portals and understand payer functionality.
• Interact with others with effective written and oral communication.
• Operate computers and office equipment and related software.
• See and read computer monitors and documents in English.
