Job summary

OCHIN is seeking a Patient Financial Services Specialist - Self Pay to support OBS member clinics across the United States remotely. The role centers on accurate revenue cycle management, self-pay account handling, and timely, compliant claim submissions.

Responsibilities include resolving denials, leveraging Epic and other billing tools, and collaborating with internal teams to improve reimbursement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Self Pay billing workflows and acute care billing environments.
• Epic experience highly preferred and knowledge of payer requirements.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and private insurer billing and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Process claims and manage accounts receivable in accordance with payer guidelines.
• Investigate denials, identify trends, and support reimbursement improvements.
• Communicate billing requirements with team and stakeholders.
• Prioritize daily billing tasks and ensure timely submission of clean claims.
• Apply knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems to optimize revenue cycle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
