Job summary

OCHIN, a 100% remote organization, is hiring a Billing Specialist to deliver accurate revenue cycle services for OBS member clinics, primarily in Acute Care. You will handle claims, patient billing inquiries, denials, and compliance across payer types.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, analytical thinking, strong communication, and proficiency with healthcare billing systems; travel is limited, with option for remote work and on-site support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with acute care hospital billing and self-pay accounts is preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer processes.
• Experience with denial management and reimbursement optimization.

Responsibilities

• Process claims and manage accounts receivable in line with payer guidelines.
• Investigate denials, identify trends, and support process improvements.
• Communicate billing requirements with team members and stakeholders.
• Track deadlines and plan activities for timely billing execution.
• Apply knowledge of U.S. healthcare billing and OCHIN solutions.
