Job summary

nimble solutions is seeking a remote Billing/Front End Services professional to support a client in Honolulu, HI, working Hawaii-Aleutian Time Zone hours. The role focuses on accurate cost estimates, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient financial counseling.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure compliant, timely billing processes in a fast-growing, healthcare-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge with Excel experience.
• Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and provide accurate, timely cost estimates for scheduled procedures based on patient insurance, benefits, and historical data.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage levels to determine patient financial responsibility.
• Review and provide accurate prior authorizations based on insurance and clinical data.
• Communicate with patients regarding estimated financial liability and discuss payment options.
• Secure necessary pre-certifications and authorizations, ensuring documentation is accurate.
• Log in and out of multiple systems including practice management systems to research questions.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations when handling calls.
• Obtain patient payment information over the phone and process payments.
• Escalate issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Follow client-specific protocols during patient billing cycles.
• Respond promptly to requests and follow up on outstanding items.
