Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable and healthcare collections.
• Ability to verify and research payment postings for accuracy.
• Strong communication with payors, networks, patients and employers.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify validity of account balances by researching, reviewing and posting payments accurately.
• Contact payors, networks, patients, and employers to obtain timely payments.
• Resolve accounts with or without supervision and meet quality metrics.
• Use payor-specific contracts to resolve claims with variances.
• Prepare appeal letters to dispute payor denials when appropriate.
• Process rebills and other system actions as needed.
• Enter all communications regarding patient accounts in the host system.
• Prioritize high-dollar and aged accounts to resolve inventory weekly.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and adhere to applicable regulations.
