Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Performs admissions, registration and scheduling activities; collects demographic and insurance information and enters data into computer systems.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and obtains required authorizations; documents approvals/denials in systems; may screen self-pay patients and discuss financial assistance.
• May follow through on open self-pay accounts for payments.
• Assists and/or trains new employees as instructed by supervisor or manager.
• Performs related duties as required and considers these as essential functions under ADA.
