Hebrew Union College invites applications for a Virtual Pathway Student Ambassador who will help design and implement virtual recruitment experiences for prospective students. The role emphasizes engaging with applicants, coordinating visits, and training current students to host events.

The position is remote, approximately 5 hours per week, compensated at $30 per hour for up to 240 hours across August 31, 2026 to July 31, 2027, with Paylocity time logging required and potential unpaid time off

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of the greater Jewish community, locally and beyond.
• Excellent evaluation and record keeping skills with fine attention to detail.
• Professional and courteous communicator, with administration and applicants alike.
• Self-motivated, organized and able to manage many moving pieces and overlapping timelines.
• Recruitment experience, academic or sales, is not required but appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Create virtual experiences for prospective students: serve as the primary student contact for virtual visits and coordinate communications with faculty, students and ORA staff.
• Plan and execute Virtual Open House events and coordinate with faculty for class observations.
• Organize diverse student panels to provide broad perspectives for prospective students.
• Communicate with prospective students via email/phone/text to prepare for visits and answer questions.
• Recruit, train, and support current students to serve as hosts during class observations and tefillah.
