Requires a Bachelor’s in HIM/Medical Coding or a high school diploma with 2 years coding experience, plus 3 years of coding experience and relevant certifications (CPC/CCS-P/CCA). You must reside in MD, PA, VA, DE, DC, or FL.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of medical coding experience.
• Competent in Laboratory Pathology coding; pathology experience required.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, ICD-10, and professional billing guidelines.
• Certifications CPC, CCS-P, or CCA required.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for professional billing based on medical records.
• Review moderately complex cases with multiple diagnoses or documentation nuances.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Participate in coding quality assurance to ensure compliance with regulations.
