Qualifications

• Fluency in Pashto and English with cultural competency.
• Able to work from a quiet home office and be 18+.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to video and audio interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Participate in online training sessions.
• Deliver interpretation via video and type data on a device.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor on all sessions.
• Remain calm during emotional or high-stress calls (e.g., 911).
• Maintain punctuality during scheduled work hours.
• Follow client instructions to ensure LEP communication.
• Understand industry terminology across Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Interpreters may be on calls for extended periods without breaks when needed.
