Qualifications

• Legal background with focus on trusts or Medicaid.
• Experience drafting, interpreting trust instruments and distributions.
• Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review trust agreements and related documents for Medicaid eligibility.
• Prepare and issue trust determinations to medical eligibility offices.
• Conduct legal research applying federal and state regulations to trust decisions.
• Analyze trust accountings for compliance and eligibility issues.
• Assist with trust terminations and recovery of remaining balances.
• Support administrative appeals and proceedings with Colorado AG's Office.
• Provide guidance on trust compliance and Medicaid eligibility requirements.
