Job summary

Mass Digital Health seeks a Staff Pharmacist for remote, part-time telepharmacy across hospital clients. Opportunities include evenings, overnights, and 1–2 shifts every two weeks. Responsibilities cover remote order entry, drug verification, and patient counseling with emphasis on clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.

You will ensure safe medication practices, provide dosing guidance, and support pharmacist licenses across states. Competitive hourly rate offered and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in at least two states (PA, OH, MA, DE, RI, CT, ME).
• 2+ years inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Knowledge of formulary management and P&T procedures.
• Familiarity with client/server applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive, internet and email.
• Overnight inpatient hospital experience is strongly preferred.
• Hospital residency preferred but not required.
• Board certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote order entry, order verification, drug verification, and patient counseling.
• Support multiple clients and operate within various pharmacy information systems (PIS).
• Provide proactive clinical pharmacy services and adhere to client policies.
• Deliver drug information and therapeutic recommendations, including dosing adjustments and interactions.
• Maintain knowledge of IV fluids, TPN, narcotics/cardiac drips, IV antibiotics and chemotherapy.
• Counsel patients, nurses, and medical staff on safe medication use.
• Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours.
• Learn and work in multiple hospital pharmacy systems.
• Obtain and maintain multiple state licenses.
• Document orders, interventions and recommendations by end of shift.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and internal policies.
• Troubleshoot system/connectivity issues; work with VPNs and automation.
• Participate in ongoing training and credential maintenance.
• Aim to meet productivity metrics.
