Job summary

Northern Lakes College in Alberta invites applications for an Instructor, Social Work. This is a part-time, homebased position (0.50 FTE) starting soon with a salary range $36,276 to $55,980 per year.

The successful candidate will teach adults, develop curriculum, and deliver distance/distributed instruction, while supporting Indigenous community engagement and meeting program standards. Travel may be required and a valid criminal record check is required.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work Degree required.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities.
• Experience teaching adults and developing curriculum.
• Eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
• Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate programs.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver distance education and high-quality instruction.
• Develop relevant curriculum and effective learning strategies.
• Advise students and monitor progress throughout the program.
• Collaborate with instructors and industry representatives to ensure relevance.
• Schedule classes and assist the program coordinator.
