Job summary

Ilisagvik College seeks a Workforce Development Instructor to design and deliver courses and workshops across the North Slope villages, Utqiaġvik, and via distance learning. You will manage schedules, curricula, and partnerships with NSB employers to address local workforce needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and experience in teaching, with the ability to travel across the NSB. Compensation is $78,414.61/year plus DOE and benefits in a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Proven professional teaching or training experience in a corporate or post-secondary environment.
• Experience in determining training, education and experience needs for organizations.
• Strong oral, written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops and teaches courses and training workshops for NSB villages and via distance delivery.
• Manages training schedules, curriculum, locations, and trainer selection.
• Promotes education and training for NSB employers to meet workforce needs.
• Prepares and updates instructional materials and course records.
• Maintains student and grant performance records and manages expenditures.
• Travel across NSB to conduct needs assessments and training workshops.
• Engages with NSB communities and employers to support Iḷisaġvik College’s mission.
