Job summary

Arbor Research LLC. in Minnesota seeks a Senior Research Scientist to provide scientific leadership and methodological expertise in health services research and program evaluation.

You will guide complex projects, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and collaborate with government agencies, private clients, and interdisciplinary teams. You will mentor staff, contribute to proposal development, and help grow the organization’s health research impact through high-quality reports

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with relevance to health services research, epidemiology, health policy, or related social sciences.
• At least seven (7) years of postdoctoral research experience at Arbor Research or similar.
• Experience collecting and synthesizing qualitative data, especially listening sessions.
• Evidence of research leadership via publications, invited talks, and project reports.
• Proven leadership in large research projects and successful business development for new work.
• Excellent oral and written communication across varied audiences.
• Must have travel documents for airfare travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects delivering health services research, policy analysis, and program evaluation.
• Oversee project management, timelines, and deliverables with project managers.
• Build relationships with sponsors, partners, and internal staff.
• Contribute to business development and pursue new projects to meet targets.
• Lead proposals for contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements.
• Oversee dissemination of research through reports and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Translate research into actionable recommendations and stakeholder seminars.
