Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Communications Center (Central Triage) at the Riedman Center. Training is in person for 8 weeks, with a hybrid option after training.

The role requires on-site presence as needed and flexibility to come into the office. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and utilizes appropriate data.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment in responding to priority patient needs.
• Communicates and documents assessment with the interdisciplinary team and uses available resources.
• Plans care with the interdisciplinary team and documents goals, treatment, and services.
• Delivers care in collaboration with the care team and maintains appropriate nurse-patient relationships.
• Ensures policies, safety, medication administration, and documentation are followed.
• Provides education to patient and family using teach-back methods.
