Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead modernization, enhancement, and production support efforts for a federal government client.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of Agile software development, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions that meet regulatory standards. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, risk management, and governance, with a focus on on-time delivery, budgets, and compliance across SDLC phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years leading large-scale IT software development or modernization projects.
• PMP or PgMP certification required.
• Strong knowledge of PMI PMBOK, Agile methodologies, Scrum, lifecycle management, and EVM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple complex IT projects and interrelated work streams using Agile project management methodologies and PMI best practices.
• Develop and monitor integrated program/project management plans, schedules, milestones, risks, and resource assignments.
• Provide governance, oversight, and reporting to Government stakeholders including status, risks, and executive briefings.
• Maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project with weekly updates on progress and budgets.
• Manage financial performance including cost, schedule, EVM, and invoicing support.
• Coordinate contractors, leads, architects, developers, testers, and stakeholders for successful execution.
• Facilitate requirements analysis, design reviews, sprint planning, backlog management, and release planning.
• Identify, track, mitigate, and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and impacts.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, QA, and change management requirements.
• Support modernization, production, disaster recovery, authorization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate communications among leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and subcontractors.
