Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Product Analyst Intern (Part Time) to transform product, sales, and inventory data into actionable insights. The role supports the Valley Irrigation Product Management team and can be performed on-site or remotely after orientation, through Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms.

You will build reports, analyze data at SKU level, and present recommendations to product and commercial leaders, collaborating with managers while maintaining data integrity and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college student pursuing an analytical degree or related field.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data cleaning of large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product, sales, and inventory data at SKU and part-number levels to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build and maintain standardized Excel workbooks, pivot tables, data queries, and repeatable reporting tables for management review.
• Apply inventory aging measures and product life-cycle concepts to evaluate product health and exposure.
• Identify mature or declining products for obsolescence review, forecast-methodology review, liquidation pricing, or inventory disposal decisions.
• Use approved analytics tools to summarize insights, create charts, and support data-driven presentations.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior product managers and commercial team members.
