Job summary

Farmers Mutual Hail (FMH) is seeking a Part-Time Crop Adjuster to perform field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields, climb storage bins, and discuss crop loss findings with producers to support America’s farmers.

The role requires travel and being in Northwest Texas. You must be able to attend mandated training events, hold a valid driver’s license, and reside in the designated travel area. Training opportunities are provided by FMH.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in crop insurance adjusting or related agriculture background preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; associates/bachelor’s in business or ag-related field preferred.
• Skills: Basic computer skills (MS Office, Internet, printer/scanner).
• Additional requirements: Willingness to travel >24 hours and attend company training; valid driver’s license; willing to climb heights and uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Understand and process claims for all major crops and policy types.
• Clearly communicate regulations and interpretations to producers, agents, and staff.
• Maintain CAPP certification if MPCI claims; stay current with RMA requirements.
• Maintain a State Adjuster License where required.
