Job summary

Nova Institute for Health seeks a motivated Community Engagement and Events Coordinator to support digital audience expansion, stakeholder engagement, and outreach activities. The role will develop and promote virtual events, publish content on the web, and assist with newsletters, social media, and planning of in-person gatherings.

The position is part-time (10–15 hours/week), primarily remote with on-site support in Greater Baltimore or Greater Washington DC as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of work experience in communications, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
• Must reside in the Greater Baltimore or Greater Washington D.C. area to provide on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Virtual programming support (50%): Develop, schedule, attend, and facilitate public-facing virtual programming throughout the year.
• Promote upcoming virtual events to affinity groups and new audiences via email, website, social media, newsletters, and other channels.
• Provide support for virtual event moderators and attendees, including note-taking and scheduling.
• Maintain and update internal calendar of upcoming events.
• Collect post-event feedback and report results.
• Assist with scheduling, venue booking, attendee communication, travel, A/V, and other requirements for Nova-led events.
• Create, organize, and maintain tracking documents to meet deadlines.
