Responsibilities include delivering AMT instruction, supervising projects, maintaining records, and using the LMS and instructional technologies.

Qualifications

  • A.A.S. degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from an accredited institution.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings (A&P).
  • Two years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of FAA requirements and safe maintenance practices.
  • Ability to instruct and evaluate student achievement using competency standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver AMT classroom and lab instruction.
  • Supervise projects and ensure use of approved data, tools and safety practices.
  • Assess student knowledge and document attendance, grades and competency.
  • Maintain accurate records and a safe classroom environment.
  • Use the LMS and instructional technology effectively.
  • Communicate with students and AMT Program Manager about progress.
  • Participate in orientation, training and course coordination.
